Thus far this year has had the less submissions from me. It's not because I'm not animating anymore, it's just don't have time to animate my own animations at the moment. I got hired at Kidthing, a startup company in downtown LA, as a flash animator earlier this year, and continued freelancing in the afternoons and nights for the company I used to work for. I also made a huge leap of going from Flash Animator to Flash Programmer recently. I will post the projects in the portfolio section of my website sometime early next year. Anyhow, this is one of 2 animations I had to do in 4 days,2 days each..

I have to say it's my favorite out of the two, and I wish i could have submitted it to newgrounds for the winter flashoff this year, since it would be my first time entering the competition, I am usually a regular for the yearly Newgrounds Halloween competition though. I snuck my name into the stocking on the far right, might not see in the youtube video but can definitely been seen in the free kidthing downloadble app.
There's a lot of cool projects I've worked on for Kidthing, and it's worth checking out. So far, I've animated the book The Lorax by Dr. Seuss, Dr. Seuss's ABC by Dr. Seuss, I've also worked on projects for Garfield, and the coolest flash programming would have to be Garfield Clicker Stickers,(digital stickers you can peel on and off, some crazy stuff). Kidthing is even featured on Garfield.com homepage. "Santa's Surpise" is part of a digital advent calendar, everyday it unlocks a new activity, some of them are simple flash games, others are animations like the one above. I worked on a couple of the games, not all, on some I did some of the art elements, or animations. Lots of cool stuff, even if just to get ideas for your own animations or games.
This is the press relase that goes along with "Santa's Surprise":
